Exclamatory- Alas! He is dead.

Assertive - It is sorrowful that he is dead. 


Exclamatory- Fie! You are a thief. 

Assertive - It is shameful that you are a thief. 


Exclamatory- Hurrah! We have won the match.  

Assertive - We rejoice that we have won the match. 


Change into assertive sentence: 

1. What a beautiful flower it is!

2. How beautiful the flower is!

3. Alas! he is dead. 

4. What a fine picture! 

5. How fine the picture is! 

6. What a funny picture!

7. How funny the picture is!
